What is Trentheim Designs?
Yes! Custom laser engraving is one of our specialties. We can create personalized gifts, signs, business items, décor, awards, accessories, and one-of-a-kind projects. If you have an idea that you do not see in our online shop, contact us and tell us what you have in mind.
Do you offer custom laser engraving?
Absolutely. Many of the projects we create never appear in our online shop. Our Gallery shows examples of previous work, but it represents only a portion of what we can make. If you see something you like—or have an entirely new idea—contact us about creating it.
Do you make custom products that aren't shown in your online store?
Possibly. Customer-supplied items are considered on a case-by-case basis because materials, coatings, shapes, and finishes can affect whether an item can be safely and successfully engraved. Send us information and photos of the item and we'll let you know whether it is a good candidate.
Can you engrave an item that I already own?
Yes. We can use customer-provided logos, artwork, and designs for many custom projects. Clear, high-quality artwork usually produces the best results. If your artwork needs modification or preparation before it can be used, we can discuss that with you during the design process.
Can you create something from my logo or artwork?
Do you offer quantity or bulk orders?
Yes. Many designs can be produced in larger quantities for businesses, events, weddings, organizations, and other groups. Pricing depends on the item, materials, design complexity, quantity, and production requirements. Contact us for a quote.
What materials can you laser engrave or cut?
We regularly work with materials including wood, acrylic, leather, and a variety of metals. The best process depends on the material, finish, design, and intended use, so unusual materials or special projects are evaluated individually.
Yes. Trentheim Designs has laser equipment capable of engraving and marking many types of metal. The exact appearance and engraving method depend on the type of metal and its finish.
Can you engrave metal?
Yes. We create custom products for businesses, organizations, events, clubs, teams, vendors, and other groups. Projects can include signage, branded merchandise, promotional items, awards, engraved products, displays, and other custom pieces.
Do you work with businesses and organizations?
Yes. We create custom laser-cut and engraved signs for homes, businesses, events, vendors, and special occasions. This includes our custom double-sided canopy signs designed to help pop-up vendors become more visible to customers walking through markets, festivals, and vendor events.
Do you make custom signs?
Turnaround time depends on the project, materials, quantity, design requirements, and our current production schedule. If you have a specific deadline, let us know when you contact us so we can determine whether your project can be completed in time.
How long does a custom order take?
We are based in Youngsville, North Carolina, but we do not currently operate a public walk-in storefront. You can shop Trentheim Designs online, find our products at select retail locations, or visit us at one of the markets, festivals, and events we attend.

How do I request a custom project?
Send us an email at info@trentheim.com with a description of what you would like to create. Photos, sketches, measurements, examples, logos, and other details are always helpful. We'll work with you to determine whether we can make it and discuss design options and pricing.
I have an unusual idea. Can you make it?
Those are often our favorite projects. If you're wondering, “Can you make this?” send us the idea. Between laser engraving, laser cutting, fabrication, design, and a healthy willingness to experiment, we can create things that may never appear in a standard product catalog.
How do you pronounce Trentheim?
It’s pronounced TRENT-hime — “Trent” with a hard T, followed by “heim,” pronounced like “hime.” Put them together and you have Trentheim!
